Tips for Celebrating Easter at Home

The Coronavirus has had a huge impact on the United States, temporarily closing schools, businesses, and even churches. In a few days, Easter will be here, and while many of us would typically be in a house of worship, this year will be different. Staying home and refraining from gathering in large groups is the best way to beat this virus, this invisible enemy. However, just because we can’t be inside our church buildings doesn’t mean that we can’t still be the church. There are plenty of ways we can still celebrate this wonderful, joyous holiday while saying safe at home.

We encourage you to stay safe at home this Easter while still honoring the Lord!

Facebook Live Service: If your church family would still like to host a service but want to keep the health and well-being of the congregation their top priority, then Facebook Live is a great alternative to meeting in person. The pastor can preach from home and share a live stream for all to tune in. The service can even be held at the same time(s) as it normally would be.

Video Chat: Part of social distancing means that you can’t go visit family on Easter or have a big dinner at grandma’s house. However, you can still check-in with loved ones on this holiday that you all hold so dear. You could even video chat while eating, so you can feel like you’re eating together.
Singing Worship Songs: You don’t have to miss out on worship songs on Easter Sunday. Pop in a CD, turn up your iTunes, or search songs on YouTube. Play your favorite worships songs and sing away. Being at home instead of at the church building shouldn’t keep you from worshipping if you’d like.

Baking Easter Goodies: Baking is the best way to fill your home with joy and warmth, especially on a holiday where you must be at home. Find fun, Easter recipes online for cupcakes, breads, cookies, pies, and more.

Coloring Easter Eggs: Coloring hard-boiled eggs is a fun Easter tradition for many. Staying at home for the holiday means you can still take part in this fun activity.

No matter how you choose to spend the holiday weekend, from all of us at ARK Realty LLC, we wish you a very blessed Easter! Stay safe at home. Get creative and enjoy the Easter holiday.
